    DoSocial

We’ve been hard at work on this new project for months now…

I figure I may as well let our SocialAdr followers know about it before everyone else :)

DoSocial is a platform that allows you to manage your social media profiles/accounts in an easy way.  If you’ve ever used services like Hootsuite or OnlyWire, it’s similar in concept, but in our (completely biased, of course) option it’s easier to use and offers a lot of functionality for free.

    With DoSocial, you can:

    • Setup “Identities” for each marketing campaign.  They represent a business, or brand, or niche, or client, etc.
    • Add “Channels” for your Facebook Profiles, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn Profiles, LinkedIn Pages, LinkedIn Groups, Twitter profiles
    • Add RSS Feeds to automate posting content to your channels
    • Manually post content or schedule it to be posted at a specific date/time
    • View stats such as your social followers and friends
    • Add tabs to your Facebook Pages that contain data from your Twitter account or YouTube channel
    • …and more to come…

Give it a try and let us know what you think!

We listened to your feedback and learned that people want more promotion the top social sites:  Facebook, Twitter, Google+.   So, our 1st step in accomplishing this is a new Facebook Likes Campaigns service.

You’ll see a new “Campaigns” main menu item:

    Campaigns-Facebook-Likes-menu-item

Clicking “Campaigns” > “Facebook Likes” takes you to this page:

    Facebook-Likes-Campaigns-page

    Here’s how it works:

    1. Browse or search for the URL you want Likes for.  It can be any URL, not just a Facebook Page.  If you can’t find the URL, it likely means you haven’t bookmarked it yet.
    2. Click “Create Campaign” next to the URL.

You’ll then be taken to this page:

    Setup-Facebook-Likes-Campaign-page

    • Make sure the URL at the top is correct, if not, click “Choose a different URL” and it’ll take you back to the 1st page
    • Use either the drop-down menu or slider on the left to select the # of Likes you want to order:
      • 10
      • 50
      • 100
      • 1.000
      • 5,000
      • 10,000
    • If you have enough credits in your account, just click the “Lets Get Some Likes!” button to start the campaign.  If you don’t, you’ll see a “Buy Credits” button, that takes you to the Instant Credits page, where you can get more.

    Important Stuff

    Typical delivery rates are:

    • <1,000 Likes:  2 days
    • 1,000+ Likes:  5 days
    • 10,000 Likes:  7 days

If “Your Bookmark is Submitted to the Services” is checked on your Notifications page, you should receive an email when your campaign is complete.

Your complete Facebook Likes Campaign History is always available at History > Facebook Likes Campaigns

Hope everyone enjoys this new service!

  • SocialAdr v2.742 Released

    Here’s the latest SocialAdr updates:

    • New bookmarks will be moved to the front of the Share Queue.  This way users should feel more satisfied that the system is working sooner.
    • A validation popup message was added to the Add Bookmark page to ensure that spintax {|} is used in the Title field.  It’s becoming more and more important to vary the Title text, because it forms your anchor text for backlinks, and Google penalizes sites that have a lot of identical anchor text, as it looks spammy.
    • We started beta testing on a new module that will allow you to automatically create Bookmarks from RSS feeds.  If all goes well we’ll be opening it up to more users sometime next year.
    • We added a couple new social media sites.
    • We’ve created a new Social Engage service where we’ll manage your social accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Google+), post regular updates, engage users, and build better relationships with your followers and fans.

For this latest release, we added a bunch more categories to the Add Bookmark page.  We copied the category list from Google Adwords as it seemed as good a list as any, and we’ve since it used in other marketing products.

We had to remap a few of the old category codes to new ones, so don’t be surprised if you go to edit your bookmarks and see different categories.   We’ve done our best to make the mappings make sense, but if you don’t agree all you have to do is edit/update your bookmarks.

Other changes included in this release:

    • The tag format for Delicious.com changed so we needed to update our connector to handle it
    • A Facebook connect bug fix
    • The WebShare connector required an update to handle changes they made to their forms
