We’ve been reading all the great feedback through our User Voice page, and one enhancement people wanted was for us to generate a unique spintax {|} variation for every distinct social media submission, and not just for each ‘share’.
We took this to heart and got it done.
Here’s an example…
Bookmark Title = SocialAdr is {awesome|great|kickass|super duper|swell}
Before
When a Free user sees this bookmark, decides they like it, and clicks a button to submit it to their social accounts, our processing engine would generate a spintax variation of the Title, and use that for all the social accounts for that user.
Delicious = SocialAdr is awesome
StumbleUpon = SocialAdr is awesome
Pinterest = SocialAdr is awesome
Diigo = SocialAdr is awesome
…and so on…
Now
Now our processing engine generates a spintax variation of the Title for each of the social accounts for that user.
Delicious = SocialAdr is awesome
StumbleUpon = SocialAdr is kickass
Pinterest = SocialAdr is super duper
Diigo = SocialAdr is swell
…and so on…
Hopefully that makes sense
We weren’t super concerned with the old logic, because search engines don’t discover all the links immediately anyways, it can often take weeks for them to discover some of the links. And if your bookmarks are receiving submissions each day, and for every user who shares your bookmarks a spintax variation is generated, over time there should be a lot of variety.
But…this new logic is definitely better, there’s no doubt about that. It’s yet another step forward in reducing a footprint.
